Todd Lile

In one way or another Todd has continuously been involved in high school, as a student, coach, advisor, and teacher, since the fall of 1988. As a student leader he held offices such as class president and commissioner of intercultural relations. Through that experience he learned valuable leadership qualities which earned several local scholarships, feature stories on local television news, and a Congressional Medal of Community Service.

Beginning in the fall of 1992 Todd was hired as a special education aide that added several years of classroom experience throughout his university education at CSU Fresno where he graduated with a BA in History. As a teacher intern he was hired to teach special education, history, and English and served as the co-advisor to the Class of 2000 at Clovis West High School.

After three years teaching in Clovis, California he was recruited as an original staff member at the Center for Advanced Research and Technology, a nationally renowned interdisciplinary technology school. Throughout this entire period Todd coached both football and basketball at three schools including Fresno City College where the Lady Rams made a final four appearance in 2001.

In the fall of 2002 Todd accepted an IB history position at the American School of Tegucigalpa, Honduras where he and colleague, Tim Catalano, helped  re-invent a proud school’s identity and began learning valuable lessons about the power of teachable moments. This success led to positions at Dubai American Academy, UAE where both men were again asked to help build the school’s proud identity and were allowed to practice and sharpen the lessons taught outside the classroom through the creation of a dynamic and inclusive school culture. The young school of international students and families continues to flourish to this day.

In the fall of 2009 Todd, his teaching wife Jessica, and son Luke, returned to Fresno to resume duties at CART as an English teacher and in  2010 successfully completed his MA in Education Leadership from The College of New Jersey.
